Substantial Grounds & Gardens

Wern Manor includes 15 acres of grounds that you are free to explore, following in the footsteps of the likes of Queen Marie of Romania, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria, and her daughter.

We invite both four-legged and two-legged guests to discover the delights of the gardens with impressive views of the manor itself and the Moel y Gest that were first created in the late 19th Century and are one of the few Welsh gardens to have been designed by Thomas Mawson.

This secluded space which consists of terraces, a water garden, pool, stream, yew tree walk, wilderness flowers, is a great way to reconnect with nature and is ideal for walkers, thinkers, yoga practitioners and more. 

But what can you expect to discover behind the imposing oak doors? In addition to a host genuine featers and genuinely rare original items such as a telephone from the late 19th century and the remnants of the in-house fire fighting equipment, we offer you:-

Games Room with Home Cinema

Should the weather be a tad sub-optimal for outdoor pursuits or if you simply cannot tear yourself away from our beautiful manor, we still offer plenty of options for entertainment.

Our Games Room comes equipped with a full-size table tennis table and a 4 foot pool table - ideal for the sporting or competitively minded.

The large (65 inch) smart TV faces two rows of vintage cinema seating. Why not light the fire, break out the pop corn and imerge yourself in your favourite film.

Downton Abbey or Gosford Park anyone?

Sitting Room with Snooker Table

The sitting room with two large leather Chesterfield sofas, vaiours other seating options and another roaring fire is a firm favourite among our adult guests.

It invites you to grab your book and catch up on your holiday reading or long overdue conversations with friends and relatives.

And if your book or conversation gets slightly heavy, there is always the grand snooker table to lighten or liven up the atmosphere.

Atrium & Servants Hall

The Atrium is a covered indoor-outdoor room and a great space to while away time, sun drenched but out of the wind on the corner sofa or engrossed in challenging puzzle or game at the table.

It is one of our two further separate seating areas in addition to the sitting room.

The Servants Hall is another one, with two large corner sofas (which each convert into two pull-out beds, if required) and another smart TV to help avoid viewing conflicts.

As you can see, Wern Manor offers plenty of spaces to gather as a group or to withdraw from the maddening crowd.

Kitchen, Dining and Entertaining

Dine in style during your stay at Wern Manor.

Our kitchen and dining room have retained all of the original features, including the old cast-iron range, glazed brick walls and thick slate flooring.

These are complemented by all the modern appliances you need.

Our dining table can comfortably sit up to 20 guests so if you're catering for a large group during your weekend stay, you don't have to worry about how or where to feed them.

We can also offer hire-in catering that our guests have enjoyed over the years with quality fine-dining that allows you to fully relax during your stay in Wales. 

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Our 18th Century Manor House features 3 super kingsize bedrooms (which can be converted to twin bedrooms on request), 4 double bedrooms, 2 twin rooms and a single across our three buildings -

the Manor itself, The Butler's House and The Bothy.

In addition, we have 6 en-suites and 2 bathrooms to ensure your stay is as luxurious as the beauty of our surroundings.
